2025 Student Symposium on April 4th!!
NRT stands for National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Traineeship, a program that supports the preparation of future leaders in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) workforce. Our program prepares future environmental leaders to integrate diverse disciplines, data science, and professional skills to address sustainability challenges in coastal areas worldwide. Through innovative approaches like data-intensive management, ethnography, and education, TREAWS equips students to make meaningful impacts in environmental quality and community well-being. Join us in redefining environmental leadership for a sustainable future.
The goal of the NRT is to develop and institutionalize a transformative graduate training model that can educate a new generation of EPs to master skills in data science, be equipped with professional and communication skills and apply those skills in a transdisciplinary framework to address environmental sustainability issues.
